Summary

Diagnosed with Best Disease (vitelliform macular dystrophy) at age ten, Joe’s vision degenerated to nearly blind before entering college. But how does a kid rapidly losing their eyesight maintain a positive spin on life? Joe’s parents reminded him not to focus on the “what ifs” but to reshape his approach to the “even ifs.” Through Project Endure, Joe’s umbrella of ventures from coaching to media presence, Rinaldi pushes the mantra, “you can only find strength through struggle.” Joe talks about the "two kinds of hard" the hard that you choose and the hard that chooses you and he's made it his purpose to help his audience reconcile the purpose of both.

Bishoy talks with Joe Rinaldi about the darkest year of his life, the changes made, and how he looks for ways to help everyone in proximity. Joe grew up in Westfield, NJ but now resides in Philadelphia, PA with his wife Michaela. He is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, a performance coach, a business owner (Project Endure), a writer and speaker.
