Perspective at an early age matured Justin very quickly. His family served in the U.S. Air Force and he understood early on that he was growing up under special circumstances, moving around every two years between Japan and various cities across the U.S. and well aware that his father was off to war. Despite the fact it wasn't your ordinary childhood, Justin refers to his childhood as a "daydream" and he considers it an honor that he's very proud of. Growing up quick naturally opened up the door for him to have older friends and in his own words, "I get along with anybody from the age of 5-100." It was that realization that he had a knack for connecting that became a revelation for his passion of connecting. At 27 years old, Justin talks about how his childhood expedited his career as a highly accomplished interviewer.

Justin has taken a keen interest in using his platforms to promote mental health awareness. On this episode he talks about his own growth mindset, his routines, and how he considers his own ADHD not as a deficit or disorder but as a "miracle or superpower" that empowers his creative state.
