Julia Perez sought out to be her own role model, a boss literally and figuratively. She came from humble beginnings and her father instilled the foundation of hard work at a young age. On this episode of Mile 40 Julia talks about how she "embraced her zone of genius" early on in her career unleashing her skillset. Soon thereafter she transitioned into working for herself as a consultant and things took a sharp turn during COVID when she lost 75% of her revenue in the blink of an eye. In her words, "Everything else could be falling apart, but my career was rock solid until this moment." It was during this period of turbulence that she left New York City for Miami, she was in a relationship at the time and despite the fact that she admittedly struggled with personal relationships prior, she found solace in a partner who assured her she would not be alone in steering her future in the face of uncertainty.
Julia has navigated many seasons of life and she talks about her New York Identity and how it shaped her in the earlier moments of her career, when she first moved to Miami she was unsure that she'd be able to revive the creative energy that defined her old life. In her words, she feared her career was over. She was wrong, she was very wrong. In a couple short years, Julia a Latina, Middle Class woman with no fancy degree became a C-Suite executive for a brand that's quickly gaining recognition on shelves around the country. Her journey was deeply personal but it is also extremely relatable and now she uses her learnings to empower women around her to chase down their goals.
Julia Perez is a C-Suite Marketing Executive who specializes in fast-growing, emerging CPG brands in the healthier-for-you food and beverage space. Julia is a proud Latina and New Yorker who is now located in Miami, FL.
